Job summary

Mclaurin seeks a Spacecraft Software Test Engineer to join the JETS II contract team at NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX. You will develop, integrate, and verify spacecraft software across vehicle systems, focusing on C-based interfaces between GFE and contractor modules and ensuring robust verification and documentation.

The role requires strong C and Python skills, Linux experience, and the ability to decompose system requirements into software requirements with traceability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field with relevant experience.
• Strong C programming skills with hands-on experience within the last 2 years.
• Proficiency developing and debugging C in a Linux environment.
• Strong Python development experience within the last 2 years.
• Ability to decompose system requirements into software requirements and develop traceability.
• Experience writing software to integrate GFE and contractor-supplied modules.
• Experience performing software interface analysis, integration testing, and verification.

Responsibilities

• Support NASA's deep-space exploration programs by developing, integrating, and verifying spacecraft software across vehicle systems.
