Job summary

Air Methods in Prescott, AZ is seeking experienced EMS professionals to deliver pre-hospital advanced life support from first contact through patient handoff. You’ll fly helicopters, maintain up-to-date certifications, and participate in ongoing education to advance pre-hospital care.

The role requires 3+ years in busy 911 and may include on-call rotations, with emphasis on safety, documentation, and teamwork in a high-stakes aviation environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 3+ years related experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in health-related field preferred.
• Minimum three years’ recent experience in a busy 911 system.
• Previous critical care transport and flight experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-hospital advanced life support care from initial contact to transfer and document thoroughly.
• Maintain competency and report educational needs to Base Supervisor.
• Maintain licensure, certifications, continuing education, and required trainings.
• Attend a minimum of six educational programs annually.
• Assist in pre-mission liftoff checklists and support piloting tasks as needed.
• Ensure safety standards for self, crew, patient, and equipment.
• Participate in outreach and follow-up activities.
