Job summary

Air Methods in Hot Springs, AR, seeks an experienced Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic to join the clinical flight crew. You will deliver advanced life support, maintain meticulous patient care documentation, and operate within state regulations while supporting ongoing education and safety.

The role requires regular flight operations and a commitment to professional development. The position emphasizes competency maintenance, rapid response, and active participation in mission briefings,

Qualifications

  • EMS paramedic with 3+ years of 911 experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in health-related field preferred.
  • Flight/critical care transport experience a plus.
  • Weight limit 225 pounds including gear.
  • Current certifications: BLS/CPR, ACLS, PALS; NRP; ITLS or PHTLS.

Responsibilities

  • Provide pre-hospital advanced life support and document care.
  • Operate within state scope and maintain competency.
  • Attend at least six educational programs annually.
  • Maintain equipment and onboard supplies; report issues.
  • Participate in pre-mission briefings and liftoff checklists.
  • Conduct aircraft safety briefings as needed.
  • Serve as flight resource for neonatal/pediatric transports.
  • Engage in departmental activities and professional development.
