Job summary

Guardian Flight, Inc. is hiring a Flight Paramedic to join our air medical team in Hawaii. You will transport patients to and from facilities and perform scene call work with a focus on safety and high-quality patient care.

The role requires at least 3 years in 911/critical care as a Paramedic, EMT-P license, FP-C within 24 months, and current BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP certifications. A 3 days on/6 days off schedule and company-paid crew housing are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a 911 or critical care setting as a licensed Paramedic.
• Current EMT-P license/certification in the states served by the assigned area.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, trauma certification required prior to flight status.
• Flight Paramedic-Certified (FP-C), required within 24 months from date of hire.
• Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS preferred.
• NREMT-P certification may be required in assigned area.

Responsibilities

• Complete and submit electronic patient care records for each dispatched flight within the specified time frame.
• Daily base checks, including narcotic count.
• Provide pre-hospital and intra-hospital ALS care from initial contact to transfer of care.
• Maintain competency through ongoing lab and clinical experiences.
• Document licensure, certifications, continuing education, safety, and procedures in the Employee Education Manual.
• Maintain knowledge of equipment and supplies used by emergency programs.
• Foster positive relationships with colleagues, EMS reps, hospitals, and the public.
• Act as a medical flight member and participate in briefings/debriefings.
• Assist in pre-mission liftoff checks and pilot support as needed.
• Adhere to safety standards to ensure crew and patient safety before liftoff.
• Conduct aircraft safety briefings as required.
• Fill open or vacant shifts as directed by Regional Director.
