Job summary

Guardian Flight in Hilo, HI seeks a Flight Paramedic to join our team of air transportation experts. You will transport patients to and from facilities and participate in scene calls, delivering high-standard patient care with safety as a priority.

The role requires 3+ years in 911/critical care, EMT-P license, and FP-C within 24 months. BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a 911 or critical care setting as a licensed Paramedic.
• Flight Paramedic-Certified (FP-C) is required within 24 months from date of hire.
• Instructors in BLS, ACLS, PALS, ITLS/PHTLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete and submit electronic patient care records for each dispatched flight within the required timeframe.
• Perform daily base checks, including narcotics counts.
• Provide pre-hospital and intra-hospital advanced life support from initial contact to handoff.
• Maintain licensure, certifications, continuing education, safety, and procedures documentation.
• Operate and maintain equipment and supplies used by emergency programs.
• Collaborate with EMS, hospitals and flight crew to ensure high safety standards.
• Participate in pre-mission briefings, liftoff checks, and post-mission debriefings.
