Job summary

Guardian Flight, Inc. in Hawaii is seeking a Flight Paramedic to join our air transport team. You will transport patients to and from facilities and participate in scene call work, delivering high-safety patient care on a professional crew.

The role requires at least 3 years as a licensed Paramedic in a 911 or critical care setting, current EMT-P licensure, and BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP/trauma certifications. FP-C within 24 months is preferred; instructor certs are a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a 911 or critical care setting as a licensed Paramedic.
• Current EMT-P license/certification in the states served by the assigned area.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, trauma certification required prior to flight status.
• Flight Paramedic-Certified (FP-C), required within 24 months from date of hire.
• Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS preferred.
• NREMT-P certification may be required in assigned area.

Responsibilities

• Complete and submit electronic patient care records for each dispatched flight within the set timeframe.
• Perform daily base checks, including narcotic counts.
• Provide pre-hospital and intra-hospital ALS care from initial contact to handoff to receiving facility.
• Maintain competency through ongoing lab and clinical experiences.
• Document licensure, certifications, continuing education, safety, and advanced procedures in the Employee Education Manual.
• Maintain knowledge of equipment and routine maintenance used by emergency programs.
