Job summary

Med-Trans Corporation is hiring a Flight Paramedic to join its air transportation team in Texas. You will provide ALS with pre-hospital and intra-hospital care, complete electronic records, and participate in mission briefings. The role requires 911/critical care experience and EMT-P license, with FP-C within 24 months.

Compensation includes an hourly starting range and a $7,000 annual area stipend, with crew housing during shifts and a schedule of two 24-hour shifts per week.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a 911 or critical care setting.
• Current EMT-P license/certification in the states served by the assigned area.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, trauma certification required prior to flight status.
• Flight Paramedic-Certified (FP-C), required within 24 months from date of hire.
• Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS preferred.
• NREMT-P certification may be required in assigned area.

Responsibilities

• Complete and submit electronic patient care records for each dispatched flight within the specified time frame.
• Perform daily base checks, including narcotic counts.
• Provide pre-hospital and intra-hospital ALS from contact to care relinquishment with thorough documentation.
• Maintain competency through ongoing lab and clinical experiences.
• Document licensure, certifications, continuing education, safety, and procedures in the Education Manual.
• Support in pre-mission liftoff checklists and pilot assistance as needed.
