Job summary

Global Medical Response is hiring a Flight Paramedic in Reno, NV to transport patients and participate in scene call work. You will perform ALS care, document care, and ensure safety protocols are followed as part of a professional air transport team.

The role requires a minimum of three years as a licensed Paramedic, EMT-P licensure in the area, and FP-C within 24 months. Strong collaboration with EMS, hospitals, and flight crew is essential for high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years' experience in a 911 or critical care setting as a licensed Paramedic.
• Current EMT-P license/certification in the states served by the assigned area.
• Flight Paramedic-Certified (FP-C), required within 24 months from date of hire.
• Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS preferred.
• NREMT-P certification may be required in assigned area.

Responsibilities

• Complete and submit electronic patient care records for each dispatched flight within the specified time frame.
• Perform daily base checks, including narcotic count.
• Provide pre-hospital and intra-hospital ALS care from initial contact to handoff to the receiving facility.
• Maintain competency via ongoing laboratory and clinical experiences.
• Maintain licensure, certifications, continuing education, safety, and procedures documentation.
• Maintain knowledge of equipment and supplies used by emergency programs.
• Foster positive relationships with colleagues, EMS, hospitals and the public.
• Serve as a medical flight team member and participate in pre-mission briefings and debriefings.
• Assist in pre-mission liftoff checklists and pilot assistance as needed.
• Comply with safety standards for crew and equipment safety.
• Conduct aircraft safety briefings as needed.
• Fill open shifts within assigned area as directed by Regional Director.
