Job summary

Air Evac Lifeteam in Big Spring, TX is hiring a Flight Paramedic to join our air transportation team. You will transport patients to and from facilities and respond to scene calls, delivering high-quality, safe patient care on every mission.

Qualifications include EMT-P license, BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP, FP-C within 24 months, and at least three years' 911 or critical care experience. Starting pay is $21.34 per hour plus a $8.33 hourly area stipend and DOE considerations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a 911 or critical care setting.
• Current EMT-P license/certification in the states served by the assigned area required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, trauma certification required prior to flight status.
• Flight Paramedic-Certified (FP-C), required within 24 months from date of hire.
• Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS preferred.
• NREMT-P certification may be required in assigned area.

Responsibilities

• Completion and submission of electronic patient care records for each dispatched flight within the specified time frame.
• Daily base checks, including narcotic count.
• Provide pre-hospital and intra-hospital advanced life support care from initial contact until hand-off to facility.
• Maintain competency through ongoing lab and clinical experiences.
• Document licensure, certifications, continuing education, safety, and procedures.
• Operate and maintain equipment and supplies used by emergency programs.
• Maintain positive relationships with colleagues, EMS, hospitals, and the public.
• Functions as a medical flight team member and participate in mission briefings/debriefings.
• Assist in pre-mission liftoff checklist and Pilot activities when needed.
