Job summary

Air Evac Lifeteam is hiring a Flight Paramedic in Williamstown, KY. The role involves providing advanced life support on air transport missions and scene calls, with a starting pay of $21.32 hourly plus DOE and a $5.00 hourly area stipend modification.

Requirements include 3+ years in 911/critical care, EMT-P license for the served states, and certifications (BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP/trauma). FP-C required within 24 months, NREMT-P may be needed in some areas.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a 911 or critical care setting.
• Current EMT-P license/certification in the states served by the assigned area required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, trauma certification required prior to flight status.
• Flight Paramedic-Certified (FP-C) required within 24 months from date of hire.
• NREMT-P certification may be required in assigned area.

Responsibilities

• Complete and submit electronic patient care records for each dispatched flight within the specified time frame.
• Perform daily base checks, including narcotic count.
• Provide pre-hospital and intra-hospital ALS care from initial contact to patient handoff.
• Maintain competency through ongoing training and continuing education.
• Document licensure, certifications, and safety procedures in the Education Manual.
• Operate, maintain, and familiarize with emergency equipment and supplies.
• Maintain professional relationships with EMS, hospitals and the public.
• Participate in pre-mission briefings and post-mission debriefings and required documentation.
• Assist in pre-mission liftoff checklists and provide Pilot support as needed.
• Adhere to safety standards to ensure crew and patient safety prior to liftoff.
• Conduct aircraft safety briefings as needed.
• Fill open or vacant shifts within the assigned area as directed by the Regional Director.
