Job summary

Global Medical Response's Air Evac Lifeteam is hiring a Flight Paramedic in Paoli, IN to transport patients and perform pre-hospital and intra-hospital ALS care, with strict safety and quality standards.

Starting pay is $21.32 hourly + DOE plus a $5.00 hourly area stipend modification; candidates must have EMT-P license in applicable states, BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP, FP-C within 24 months, and NREMT-P may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a 911 or critical care setting required.
• Current EMT-P license/certification in the states served by the assigned area required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, trauma certification required prior to flight status.
• Flight Paramedic-Certified (FP-C), required within 24 months from date of hire.
• NREMT-P certification may be required in assigned area.

Responsibilities

• Completion and submission of electronic patient care records for each dispatched flight within the specified time frame.
• Daily base checks, including narcotic count.
• Provide pre-hospital and intra-hospital ALS care from initial contact until handoff to receiving facility; maintain thorough documentation.
• Maintain competency through ongoing training and clinical experiences.
• Maintain licensure, certifications, continuing education, and safety documentation.
• Operate and maintain equipment and supplies used by emergency programs.
• Foster positive relationships with colleagues, EMS, hospitals, and the public.
• Function as a medical flight team member and support pre-mission briefings and debriefings.

Education

Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic (EMT-P) license/certification, required in states served

BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, trauma certification

Flight Paramedic-Certified (FP-C) within 24 months

NREMT-P certification may be required in assigned area
