Air Evac Lifeteam is hiring a Flight Paramedic in Salem, MO to transport patients and perform in-flight medical care. You’ll join a team of air transport professionals focused on safety and high-quality patient care, with responsibilities spanning pre/post-flight duties, documentation, and on-scene medical support.

The role requires EMT-P licensure, BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP, and FP-C certification within 24 months; NREMT-P may be required in some areas.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a 911 or critical care setting.
• Current EMT-P license/certification in the states served by the assigned area required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, trauma certification required prior to flight status.
• Flight Paramedic-Certified (FP-C), required within 24 months from date of hire.

Responsabilités

• Complete and submit electronic patient care records for dispatched flights within required time.
• Perform daily base checks, including narcotics count.
• Provide ALS care from first contact to hand-off to hospital staff with proper documentation.
• Maintain competency through ongoing lab and clinical experiences.
• Maintain licensure, certifications, CE, safety and procedures documentation in education manual.
• Operate and maintain flight equipment and supplies; support crew and patients.
• Foster positive relationships with coworkers, EMS, hospitals, and the public.
• Participate as a medical flight team member; attend pre-mission briefings and debriefings.
• Assist in pre-mission liftoff checklist and pilot assistance as needed.
• Adhere to safety standards to ensure safety of crew, patients, and equipment.
• Conduct aircraft safety briefings as needed.
• Fill open or vacant shifts within assigned area as directed by Regional Director.
