Job summary

Guardian Flight is hiring a Flight Paramedic to join our air transportation team. You will transport patients to and from facilities and on-scene calls with a focus on safety and high-quality patient care.

The role emphasizes teamwork with a professional crew and adherence to safety standards. We offer a starting annual range of $78,000–$80,000, plus a $10,000 sign-on bonus payable in two installments after training.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a 911 or critical care setting.
• Current EMT-P license/certification in the states served by the assigned area required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, trauma certification required prior to flight status.
• Flight Paramedic-Certified (FP-C), required within 24 months from date of hire.
• Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS preferred.
• NREMT-P certification may be required in assigned area.

Responsibilities

• Completion and submission of electronic patient care records for each dispatched flight within the specified time frame.
• Daily base checks, including narcotic count.
• Provide pre-hospital and intra-hospital advanced life support from initial contact to transfer of care while maintaining documentation.
• Maintain competency through ongoing laboratory and clinical experiences.
• Maintain licensure, certifications, continuing education, safety, and procedures documentation.
• Operate and maintain equipment and supplies used by emergency programs.
• Foster positive relationships with colleagues, EMS representatives, hospitals, and the public.
• Serve as a medical flight team member and participate in mission briefings/debriefings.
• Assist in pre-mission liftoff checklist and support Pilot activities as needed.
• Adhere to safety standards to ensure crew and patient safety before liftoff.
• Conduct aircraft safety briefings as required.
• Filling open or vacant shifts within assigned area as directed by Regional Director.
