Job summary

Guardian Flight is hiring a Flight Paramedic to join our air transport team. You will provide pre-hospital and intra-hospital advanced life support care, perform flight-specific duties, and maintain accurate patient care documentation from dispatch to handoff.

Join a safety-focused, professional crew with a 5 days on/10 days off schedule and company-paid crew housing while on shift. Starting range is $74,000-$77,000 annually.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a 911 or critical care setting.
• Current EMT-P license/certification in the states served by the assigned area.
• BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP and trauma certifications required prior to flight status.
• Flight Paramedic-Certified (FP-C) within 24 months of hire.
• Instructor certs in BLS/ACLS/PALS/PEPP/ITLS/PHTLS preferred.
• NREMT-P certification may be required in the assigned area.

Responsibilities

• Complete and submit electronic patient care records for each dispatched flight on time.
• Perform daily base checks, including narcotics count.
• Provide pre-hospital and intra-hospital ALS care from first contact to handoff.
• Maintain competency through ongoing labs and clinical experiences.
• Document licensure, certifications, CE, safety, and procedures in Education Manual.
• Maintain equipment knowledge and routine maintenance.
• Maintain positive relationships with colleagues, EMS, hospitals and public.
• Function as a medical flight team member.
• Attend pre-mission briefings and debriefings; complete documentation.
• Assist in liftoff checklists and pilot support when needed.
• Adhere to safety standards for crew and patient safety before liftoff.
• Conduct aircraft safety briefings as needed.
• Fill open/ vacant shifts within assigned area as directed.
