Job summary

Boeing Commercial Airplanes seeks an Associate Multi-Discipline Engineer to join the Dispatch Requirements Group within the Customer Support Flight Operations team in Seal Beach, CA. You will evaluate MMEL proposals, coordinate with regulators and operators, and work with engineering, FAA, and international authorities to ensure compliant, safe operations.

This on-site role also involves responding to customer inquiries, driving improvements, and supporting cost and performance objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry plus 2+ years of related work experience
• Experience providing Airline customer support
• Experience working on Commercial or Military aircraft programs

Responsibilities

• Utilize knowledge of regulatory operating rules, airplane systems, and performance to evaluate MMEL proposals
• Collaborate with regulatory authorities and operators to ensure MMEL proposals meet compliance requirements
• Coordinate with engineering teams, technical pilots, airline customers, FAA and foreign regulatory agencies, and Authorized Representatives
• Coordinate development of flight operations and maintenance procedures
• Assess proposed changes to aircraft certification that could impact performance
• Respond to customer inquiries on all Boeing Commercial Airplane models
• Champion improvements to technologies, tools, and processes to reduce cycle time and cost
• Assess proposed regulations and engineering changes for impact on cost, performance, producibility, maintainability and safety
