Boeing Global Services (BGS) is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels for the Engineering Support Specialist position in Oklahoma City, OK. The role will be part of the organization that provides sustainment and modification support to the USAF to help maintain and sustain its fleet of Boeing 747 aircraft. This position will be a part of the E-4B team that evaluates engine and aircraft part requirements, researches equipment, parts, materials and tools to support sustainment and maintenance; resolves a wide range of technical and operational issues; and works closely with Air Force and government customers to ensure the continued safe operation of the fleet.

This position will also interpret and analyze engineering data, reliability and maintainability data, supply chain data, and customer operations in support of spares, provisioning solutions and overhauls/repairs. The work is horizontal, collaborating with other functions across Boeing.

Position Responsibilities
  • Be part of a multidisciplinary and cross‑geographical team to ensure customer contractual requirements are met.
  • Prepare routine communications and presentation material for dissemination to internal and external customers.
  • Work with supplier management and internal vendors to schedule and project arrival dates of parts.
  • Maintain awareness of operational activities and aircraft on the ground maintenance events.
  • Provide support for operator recovery plans for operational disruptions due to scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities.
  • Conduct research on advanced technical, operational and quality issues.
  • Analyze information to evaluate reported discrepancies.
  • Research and analyze systems and components to identify issues and corrective actions.
  • Support a wide range of technical and operational issues associated with depot maintenance and repair.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and standards in support of part applicability and spares demand as required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
  • 1+ years of experience in reading and interpreting technical publications and/or maintenance manuals.
  • 2+ years of experience working with aircraft drawings, specifically commercial derivative aircraft.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
  • 3+ years of higher education and/or related work experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • Experience in USAF and/or 747 derivative.

Associate‑Level Summary Pay Range: $60,350 - $81,650
Mid‑Level Summary Pay Range: $73,950 - $100,050

Export Control Requirement: This position must meet export control compliance requirements. A “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required.

Security Clearance: The position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post‑Start is required.
