Job summary

Kamaka Air, LLC seeks an experienced aviation professional to oversee flight operations and regulatory compliance. The role ensures operations conform to FARs, OPS specs, and company manuals, while coordinating crew scheduling and training.

The position emphasizes leadership, meticulous record-keeping, and proactive risk mitigation to minimize delays and maintain high safety standards.

Qualifications

• Qualified to serve as Pilot in Command in Kamaka Air operations.
• Strong working knowledge of 14 CFR Parts applicable to Kamaka Air operations.
• Experience as Training Captain in Part 135 or comparable operations.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and iPad in aviation operations.
• Demonstrated leadership, communication, decision-making, organizational, and personnel management skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in oversight of flight operations ensuring compliance with FARs and OPS specs.
• Monitor quality assurance and correct operational standards.
• Schedule flight crews ensuring qualification, currency, flight time, duty time, rest requirements.
• Identify and minimize delays due to scheduling, crew legality, or maintenance issues.
• Maintain pilot records and ensure compliance with PRD requirements.
• Prepare and maintain flight operations manuals and controlled documents.
• Lead briefings with flight and ground crew on responsibilities and safety procedures.
• Oversee all pre-flight planning activities including weather, route, fuel, and cargo load.
• Coordinate with ground operations and maintenance to ensure aircraft readiness and safety.
