Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Sector seeks an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Manager 1 to join the Flight Operations team at Ellsworth AFB, SD. On-site initial onboarding is at a CONUS location before assignment.

The role requires leading aircraft mechanics and technicians, ensuring airworthiness, and coordinating with customers on maintenance events and milestones. A secret clearance is required or pursued with program funding.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in a maintenance or military environment.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational communication skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including shifts and on-call status.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% and to initial training locations.
• Ability to obtain and maintain PRP and Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Leads daily operations of the aircraft maintenance team.
• Oversees maintenance, repair and overhaul of aircraft and engines.
• Ensures customer maintenance requirements are met and inspections scheduled.
• Releases aircraft for flight and coordinates with customer and support agencies.
• Develops schedules, tracks status, and reports program progress.
