Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. seeks an Aircraft Maintenance Manager 1 for Ellsworth AFB, SD to lead a team of aircraft mechanics and technicians in a dynamic flight operations setting.

The role requires 4 years of aircraft maintenance experience and 1 year of leadership, with travel up to 25%. A Secret clearance is required or obtainable; relocation assistance may be available, and flexibility for shifts and on-call duties is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED with 4 years of military or civilian aircraft maintenance experience.
• 1 year of leadership experience.
• Must demonstrate strong interpersonal and organizational skills as well as oral and written communication skills.
• Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time.
• Must be able to obtain PRP certification and enrollment within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the Company, and maintenance of same.
• Your ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated U.S. government Secret clearance (in-scope or CE) within a reasonable period.

Responsibilities

• Leads the daily operations of the aircraft team to include leading, managing, motivating, developing, and engaging a team of aircraft mechanics and technicians.
• Oversees maintenance servicing, repairing and overhauling aircraft and engines to ensure airworthiness and flight safety.
• Schedules maintenance and inspections and releases aircraft for flight.
• Recommends procedure changes to improve maintainability and timely inspections.
• Coordinates with customer and support agencies on constraints and risks affecting critical path milestones.
• Develops, tracks, updates, and reports status of product/requirements for contracted work to program leadership.
