Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Manager 2 to lead the Flight Operations team at Ellsworth AFB, SD. The role includes directing, mentoring, and coordinating aircraft maintenance to ensure airworthiness and safe flight operations.

The position requires travel up to 25%, onboarding at a CONUS location, and eligibility for U.S. government Secret clearance. A flexible schedule, including shifts, may be necessary to support 24/7 operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of aircraft maintenance experience.
• Master’s degree with 3 years of aircraft maintenance experience.
• High school diploma/GED with 9 years of aircraft maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Leads daily operations of the aircraft maintenance team.
• Oversees servicing, repair, and overhaul of aircraft and engines to ensure airworthiness.
• Schedules maintenance and inspections and releases aircraft for flight.
• Develops procedures to improve maintainability and timely inspections.
• Coordinates with customer and support agencies on milestones and constraints.
