Job summary

Air Methods CBS is seeking an experienced Critical Care Registered Nurse for mobile, helicopter-based transport in Rapid City. You will assess, triage, and manage critical patients en route, while maintaining rigorous documentation and safety standards.

Role requires 3+ years of recent critical care experience; pre-hospital care is preferred. Flight duties may include on-call rotation and collaboration with EMS teams.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field preferred but not required.
• Minimum three (3) years of recent critical care/emergency nursing in last five years.
• Pre-hospital experience preferred.
• Flight experience is not required but a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality critical care including assessment, triage, and treatment for air transport.
• Maintain thorough patient care documentation.
• Attend pre-mission briefings and mission debriefings.
• Ensure safety standards and assist pilot with radio/navigation tasks.
• Perform advanced skills as approved by Medical Director(s).
