Job summary

Guardian Flight in Elko, NV is hiring a Flight Nurse to join a team dedicated to safe patient transport to and from medical facilities and for scene calls. The role emphasizes critical care, collaboration with flight crews, and maintaining a compliant, well-equipped aircraft environment.

The position requires RN licensure in the applicable states, emergency/trauma certifications, and CFRN within 24 months. It offers a 5 days on/10 days off schedule with company-paid crew housing on shift.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in an Emergency or Adult Critical Care setting as a licensed RN.
• Current RN license in the states served by the assigned area.
• EMT Certification & Trauma Certification in state(s) where required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP required prior to flight status (NRP provided during training).
• Certified Registered Flight Nurse (CFRN) required within 24 months from date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Flight Nurses assess situations to determine the best course of action to support, monitor and treat patients in critical care.
• Utilize critical thinking to manage critically ill or injured patients and support physicians’ orders.
• Maintain a safe, clean aircraft environment and conduct regular equipment/base checks; comply with safety standards.
• Collaborate with air and ground teams, dispatch, flight crews, facilities and partners.
• Record shift-change information and maintain regulatory documentation and records.
