Job summary

Global Medical Response’s Guardian Flight base in Watford, ND is hiring a Flight Nurse to join a team of air transport professionals. You'll transport patients, support critical care needs, and uphold high safety standards for crew and patients.

The role requires emergency/ICU RN experience, active RN licensure, CFRN within 24 months, and current BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP certifications; a sign-on bonus and housing are included.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in Emergency or Adult Critical Care as a licensed RN.
• Current RN license in states served by the assigned area.
• EMT certification & Trauma certification as required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP required prior to flight status (NRP provided during training).
• CFRN required within 24 months from date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Flight Nurses will assess each situation to determine the best course of action to support, monitor and treat patients in critical care situations.
• Utilize critical thinking skills to manage the critically ill or injured adult or pediatric patient and support physicians’ orders.
• Maintain safe aircraft environment, equipment checks, and comply with safety standards and briefings.
• Collaborate with air and ground teams, dispatch, flight crews, facilities and partners.
• Share shift change info to transitioning team and maintain documentation and records.
• Maintain required certifications and ongoing training for the position.
