Job summary

Global Medical Response is actively hiring a Flight Nurse to join our air transportation team. You will transport patients to and from facilities and perform scene call work with a focus on safety and high-quality patient care.

The role requires extensive critical care experience, RN licensure in the area, and CFRN certification within 24 months. Expect a demanding but rewarding environment with strong teamwork and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of experience in an Emergency or Adult Critical Care setting as a licensed RN.
• Current RN license in the states served by the area.
• EMT Certification & Trauma Certification in state(s) where required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP required prior to flight status (NRP certification is provided during New Hire Training).
• Certified Registered Flight Nurse (CFRN) required within 24 months from date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess each situation to determine the best course of action to support, monitor and treat patients in critical care situations.
• Utilize critical thinking to manage critically ill or injured patients and support physicians’ orders.
• Maintain a safe, clean aircraft environment and ensure base checks and safety briefings are done.
• Collaborate with air/ground teams, dispatch, flight crews, facilities and partners with professional communication.
• Share shift change information to the transitioning team and maintain accurate documentation and records.
• Maintain required certifications and ongoing training for the position.
