Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• California Paramedic License with Kern County Accreditation or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• Minimum three years of paramedic experience in a busy 911 setting.
• Experience managing unstable cardiac patients and ventilator-dependent patients.

Responsibilities

• Respond to patient care and transport calls per program protocols.
• Provide routine, emergency, and critical care during transport per policies and standing orders.
• Perform complete patient assessments and document findings and orders.
• Work within California Paramedic scope and CCT procedures.
• Perform emergency procedures as needed, including CPR and intubation.
• Maintain equipment and vehicle readiness and documentation.
• Participate in quality improvement, ongoing education, and required meetings.
• Maintain licensure and certifications and effective communication with teams.
