Premier Ambulance is seeking RNs for Critical Care Transport in the San Diego area. The CCT RN provides high-acuity care and advanced monitoring during interfacility transports, working with EMTs and hospital staff under established protocols.

Requirements include a California RN license, ACLS/PALS/PEEP/ENPC/NRP as applicable, and two years of recent critical care experience. A formal orientation to policies and equipment is required, with opportunities for clinical leadership and ongoing

Qualificações

• Possess a current California RN License
• Demonstrate clinical competence in resuscitation skills appropriate for age of transported patients (ACLS, PALS, PEEP, ENPC, NRP)
• Possess two years recent experience in critical care setting (ICU/CCU/ED/CCT)
• Complete a formal orientation program to the CCT provider agency’s policies, equipment, and medical protocols

Responsabilidades

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care throughout critical care transports.
• Assess, monitor, and manage patients with complex and/or critical medical conditions.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and other treatments within scope of practice and applicable protocols.
• Report problems and unusual occurrences immediately to the CCT Manager.
• Manage and monitor advanced medical equipment and life-support therapies as appropriate.
• Collaborate with physicians, paramedics, respiratory therapists, hospital staff, and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate patient care documentation and transport records.
• Communicate effectively with sending and receiving facilities, patients, and families.
• Follow Premier Ambulance clinical policies, procedures, protocols, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Mentor and provide clinical leadership to the EMTs on the crew.
• Maintain readiness of the transport unit, medical equipment, and supplies.
