Job summary

Textron Aviation is seeking a Flight Mechanic C to work on multi-engine aircraft in Wichita. You will collaborate with seasoned mechanics to ensure airworthiness for testing and customer delivery, performing installations, inspections, and adjustments as needed.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent, with 3–6 months of diversified aircraft experience. An A&P license is helpful and there are extensive total rewards and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bronze WorkKeys certification helpful.
  • 3–6 months diversified experience with jet, turboprop or piston aircraft including phase inspections or engine servicing.
  • Knowledge of aircraft mechanical systems is helpful; A&P license is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Mechanical installation: install line shortage items, disassemble/reassemble components, prepare aircraft for flight tests and delivery.
  • System checks & adjustments: perform functional checks and adjustments on multi-engine systems for optimal performance.
  • Flight test support: assist in correcting flight test squawks to meet quality standards.
  • Sheet metal rework: perform minor sheet metal rework as needed to maintain airworthiness.
  • Tool utilization: use hand tools and measurement devices for precise work.
  • Blueprint & specification adherence: follow blueprints, routers and checklists to complete tasks accurately.

What you will be doing as a Flight Mechanic :

In this role, you will collaborate alongside experienced Flight Mechanics to ensure multi-engine aircraft are flight-ready for testing and customer delivery. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining mechanical excellence and safety standards.

Your responsibilities may include (but are not limited to):

  • Mechanical Installation : Install line shortage items, disassemble and reassemble components, and prepare aircraft for flight tests and delivery
  • System Checks & Adjustments : Perform functional checks, corrections, and adjustments on multi-engine systems to ensure optimal performance
  • Flight Test Support : Assist in correcting flight test and inspection squawks to meet quality standards
  • Sheet Metal Rework : Conduct minor sheet metal rework as needed to maintain aircraft reliability
  • Tool Utilization : Use mechanic hand tools and devices like scales, inclinometers, tensiometers, and pressure gauges to perform precise measurements and adjustments
  • Blueprint & Specification Adherence : Follow blueprints, routers, specifications, and checklists to complete tasks accurately and efficiently
What you need to be successful:
  • A high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or a bronze level WorkKeys certification is required
  • At least 3-6 months of diversified experience with jet, turboprop or piston aircraft , including phase inspections, engine troubleshooting, or servicing is required
  • Knowledge of aircraft mechanical systems and components is helpful
  • An A&P license is helpful
