Textron Aviation is hiring a full-time A&P Mechanic A-573 for a 6th shift (M-Th weekday evenings) in our Wichita, Kansas Service Center. The role focuses on inspecting, repairing, and testing airframe and powerplant systems to maintain airworthiness in jet, turboprop, and piston aircraft.

A shift differential enhances pay for this evening schedule. You will perform 100-hour and annual inspections, execute modifications, and document maintenance logs in accordance with FAA regulations, while

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 5 years of aircraft maintenance experience including jet, turboprop, and piston aircraft.
• Knowledge of FAR 43 inspection procedures and experience performing 100-hour and annual inspections.
• Preferred: experience in a customer service facility performing inspections and repairs.

Responsabilidades

We are hiring immediately for full-time Airframe & Power Plant (A&P) Mechanic in our Service Center. Join us for 6 th shift, this position comes with an added benefit of a shift differential.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you can expect to inspect and repair a variety of aircraft systems, perform functional tests, and ensure compliance with FAA standards. You’ll tackle complex mechanical challenges, execute modifications, and keep aircraft in peak condition for safe flight . Inspect & Diagnose Aircraft Systems: Perform detailed inspections and diagnose malfunctions on jet, turboprop, and piston multi-engine aircraft to ensure airworthiness

Repair & Replace Components: Repair or replace complex assemblies, landing gear, pressurization systems, and engine accessories such as fuel pumps, generators, and hydraulic systems

Conduct Functional Tests: Perform engine runs, instrument checks, rigging, and throttle synchronization to verify system performance and safety compliance

Execute Modifications & Preventive Maintenance: Carry out structural modifications, 100-hour and annual inspections per FAR 43, and preventive maintenance to maintain optimal aircraft condition

Document & Ensure Compliance: Prepare accurate logs, inspection reports, and parts documentation while adhering to FAA regulations and safety standards

Collaborate & Mentor: Assist with troubleshooting during flight checks and provide guidance to lower-grade mechanics when required

What you need to be successful:

High school diploma, equivalent certificate, or WorkKeys Bronze certification

Minimum 5 years of aircraft maintenance experience, including jet, turboprop, and piston aircraft

Knowledge of FAR 43 inspection procedures and experience performing 100-hour and annual inspections

Preferred: Experience in a customer service facility performing inspections and repairs
