Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems in Sterling, VA seeks a Flight Inspector 2 or 3 to join the Receiving Inspection Team. You will verify flight-critical hardware, ensure documentation compliance, and support quality gates before acceptance into production.

Required: high school diploma and 2 years related inspection experience; familiarity with AS9100 or SQAR; preferred TIPQA/Costpoint/SAP; salary range starts at $61,100 with potential bonuses; 10% travel per year.

Qualifications

• High School diploma with 2 years related inspection experience.
• Experience with visual inspection for defects and dimensional conformance.
• Familiarity with QMS documentation and AS9100/SQAR requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform receiving inspection on flight-critical hardware including EEE components and PWBs.
• Validate supplier documentation, test data, and lot traceability prior to material acceptance.
• Execute inspection per Quality Instructions and program-specific requirements; document in TIPQA.
• Initiate and complete inspection records in TIPQA; verify QC inspections in Costpoint.
• Initiate Nonconformance Reports and support MRB documentation for nonconforming material.
• Apply visual, dimensional, and documentation-based inspection techniques; enforce holds on unresolved material.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Supplier Quality, and Production to resolve documentation issues.
• Other duties as assigned
