Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems in Promontory, UT is seeking a Flight Inspector at Level 2 or Level 3 to join the Receiving Inspection Team. You will verify incoming materials, ensure proper identity and dimensional conformance, and support the gate for flight hardware

Ideal candidates have strong inspection discipline, experience with laboratory instrumentation, and the ability to work with LIMS, ERP systems, and safety protocols in an aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with 2 years related experience.
• High School diploma or equivalent with 4 years related experience.

Responsibilities

• Collect representative samples per engineering, regulatory, and laboratory requirements.
• Verify material identification and ensure traceability during fabrication and testing.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of tools, areas, and equipment.
• Ensure materials are properly labeled and stored following engineering and planning requirements.
• Communicate inconsistencies, deviations, or safety concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Adhere to safety and hygiene standards, including PPE use.
• Support inspections and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain laboratory infrastructure including sampling preparation and equipment setups/breakdown.
• Maintain neat, accurate records to company standards.
• Work with LIMS, Quality, and inventory databases to track material and test results.
• Maintain high standard of operational discipline to support safe, efficient operations.
• Other duties as assigned.
