Job summary

Firefly Aerospace in Briggs, TX is seeking a GSE Combination Welder to fabricate and weld production-level SS assemblies, tooling, and ground support equipment to prints. You will collaborate with design, ground support, and operations teams across Firefly to bring spaceflight hardware to life at our Briggs site just north of Austin.

Responsibilities include welding aluminum/steel to specifications, reading diagrams, installing piping, and traveling to launch sites as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 3+ years of welding experience.
• Experience with MIG, TIG, Stick and Flux Core welding.
• Experience with structural and pipe welding.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work overtime when needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding on aluminum and steel structures to prints.
• Read and interpret P&IDs and shop drawings for installations and repairs.
• Install tubing, piping and conduit for fluid systems.
• Operate forklifts, cranes and other lifting equipment as required.
• Travel to launch sites to support program activities.
