Job summary

Firefly Aerospace is seeking a GSE Combination Welder to fabricate and weld production-level Flight-grade SS assemblies, steel tooling, and Ground Support Equipment at our Briggs, TX site near Austin. You will work with design teams across launch operations, ensuring weld quality and adherence to prints on a daily basis.

The role requires 3+ years of welding experience (MIG/TIG/Stick/Flux Core), ability to read complex diagrams, and physical capability to lift 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of welding experience.
• Experience with MIG, TIG, Stick and Flux Core welding.
• Experience in structural and pipe welding.
• Knowledge of heat effects during welding to prevent warping.
• Shop practices including layout, drilling, sawing, grinding.

Responsibilities

• Weld aluminum and steel structures, assemblies, and piping to drawings and specs.
• Read piping and instrumentation diagrams for installation and troubleshooting.
• Install tube, piping and conduit for fluid system fabrication and upgrades.
• Operate lifting and rigging equipment as needed.
• Perform housekeeping and site continuous improvement.
