Job summary

DO & CO group in Des Plaines, IL is seeking a dynamic Food Packer to check and pack food according to airline specifications and ensure the correct meals for each flight are ready and properly packed. You will also pack and inspect galley equipment and assist in tray setup and packaging of food.

The role requires the ability to handle a substantial workload, work well in a team, and meet strict deadlines. Shifts may include nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for checking and packing of food and goods according to DO & CO and airline specifications.
• Ensures correct number of meals for each flight are ready, packed and assigned correctly in a timely manner.
• Packs and checks aircraft galley equipment to ensure all are adhering to airline guidelines.
• Assists in setting up trays, preparing and packaging food.
• Conducts physical counts and packs additional equipment or products.
• Reports problems with the food safety management system to the supervisor and the hygiene and food safety team and complies.
• Comply with all food safety and hygiene regulations as stated in the food safety management system handbook.
• Assists with airside operations under the direction of the flight coordinator and performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
