Job summary

DO & CO group is seeking a Cook II in Des Plaines, IL to join our luxury global gourmet entertainment operations. You will handle diverse cooking techniques, prepare sauces and assemble high-standard airline service dishes.

Responsibilities include standardizing recipes, supervising production flow, and training Line Cook 1 staff. The role requires flexibility for night and weekend shifts and strict adherence to food safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate cooking techniques (prepping, roasting, broiling, braising, sautéing, grilling) and prepare sauces, marinate proteins, and assemble complex dishes for airline service.
• Standardize recipes and notify supervisors of shortages; supervise food production flow to avoid delays.
• Deep knowledge of kitchen equipment; assist in training and supervising Line Cook 1 employees; ensure adherence to standards.
• Comply with all food safety and hygiene regulations and report issues to management.
