Northrop Grumman is seeking a Ground Flight Dynamics Software Engineer (Level 3 or 4) to join our Space Sector at Redondo Beach, CA. This onsite role requires a Secret clearance and involves collaborating with stakeholders, modeling flight dynamics, and delivering robust trajectory solutions.

The position offers growth across levels with strong emphasis on astrodynamics, Python/MATLAB programming, and cross-functional teamwork within our Western Region software engineering organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 5+ years of software engineering experience; Master’s with 3+ years; Ph.D. with 1+ years.
• Active U.S. Government Secret clearance required at time of application.
• Experience with Python and/or MATLAB; knowledge of astrodynamics and orbital mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key interface with external stakeholders in meetings with customers and partners.
• Apply problem-solving skills to address complex technical concepts.
• Prepare charts, present data, and provide recommendations to internal teams and customers.
• Manage tasking and mentor team members across multiple program schedules with tight deadlines.
