Job summary
Northrop Grumman's Space Sector is seeking a Ground Software I&T Engineer (Level 3 or 4) to join our team in Redondo Beach, CA. This role develops and integrates mission-critical ground software, including cloud-based backends and operator-facing tools, while reducing code footprint and improving maintainability.
You will collaborate with stakeholders, mentor teammates, and present data to program leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's/Master's/PhD in STEM with years of experience as stated.
- Experience with mission-critical ground software.
- Experience with cloud-based software systems.
- Experience with software design and modeling tools.
- Experience with mission planning workflows.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and integrate large-scale distributed systems.
- Direct experience with satellite constellations or ground systems.
Responsibilities
- Support Software Systems Engineering design and I&T.
- Interface with customers and partners in meetings.
- Design, develop, and integrate ground software (Python, ReactJS).
- Develop modular architectures for maintainability and scalability.
- Address complex technical concepts with strong problem solving.
- Prepare charts and present data to internal and external stakeholders.
- Mentor team members across multiple schedules.
