RTX in Cedar Rapids is offering a software internship/co‑op in aerospace software. You will join the Integrated Applications Engineering team, working on Flight Deck software across the lifecycle with mentorship from senior engineers.

This role emphasizes learning, collaboration, and hands‑on development in a safety‑critical domain. We seek students pursuing STEM degrees with C/C++ and Python skills, plus a collaborative mindset and prior RTX internship or co‑op experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor's or advanced degree in STEM with 60 credit hours completed before start.
• Experience in C/C++ and Python is expected or gained through coursework/projects.
• Able to work effectively in a collaborative, cross‑functional team.
• Prior RTX internship, co‑op, or work experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support avionics software development across the lifecycle from requirements to verification.
• Collaborate with software, systems, and test teams to design and implement software.
• Participate in reviews, integration, debugging, and validation in simulations and real environments.
• Communicate progress, challenges, and solutions to mentors and team members.
