Job summary

RTX is seeking motivated Software Engineers to join the Collins Flight Deck Integrated Applications Engineering team in Cedar Rapids, IA, for a co-op that spans May/June to December. You will work on real avionics software lifecycle activities, from requirements through verification and delivery, in an agile environment.

You will collaborate with experienced engineers to develop software for flight deck systems, decompose requirements, support avionics architecture, and participate in software

Qualifications

Must be pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related STEM discipline and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship / co-op session.
Experience in C/C++ and Python

Responsibilities

Collaborate with cross-functional team to design, develop, and deliver avionics software solutions.
Support development, analysis, and refinement of software requirements and interfaces.
Contribute to planning and development of software verification and testing strategies.
Participate in technical reviews of software requirements, design documents, and test procedures.
