Job summary

The US Navy seeks Aviation Operations & Support personnel (Enlisted) to help launch and recover naval aircraft on ships and shore stations. You will handle aircraft on flight decks and in hangar bays and operate essential support equipment.

With training and progression, you can lead watchteams, advance through ratings, and gain hands-on experience in safety, maintenance, and operational readiness across diverse sea and land environments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to meet Navy medical and physical standards.

Responsibilities

• Support aircraft launch and recovery operations in operational environments.
• Assist with aircraft handling, movement, spotting, and securing on flight decks and lines.
• Operate aviation support equipment and systems used in aircraft operations.
• Perform inspections and operational checks before and after equipment use.
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on aviation support equipment.
• Support safety practices including FOD prevention and emergency readiness.
• Assist with emergency response and training drills related to aviation operations.
• Support administrative and maintenance control activities as required.
