Job summary

The US Navy in Jasmine Estates, Florida seeks an Aviation Operations & Support (Enlisted) specialist to support aircraft launch and recovery, assist with aircraft handling on flight decks and in hangar bays, and operate aviation support equipment to keep operations moving.

You will train through rating-specific schools, advance through watchstations, and gain leadership skills through structured training and progression within land and sea environments.

Qualifications

• Eligibility to serve in the United States Navy, citizenship/work status as required.
• High school diploma or equivalent for enlisted positions.
• Meeting medical, vision, and dental standards with physical fitness requirements.
• Ability to work safely around aircraft and in high-noise, harsh environments.
• Willingness to work in a team in fast-paced, safety-critical situations.

Responsibilities

• Support aircraft launch and recovery operations in operational environments.
• Assist with aircraft handling, movement, spotting, and securing on flight decks and flight lines.
• Operate aviation support equipment and systems used in aircraft operations.
• Perform inspections and operational checks before and after equipment use.
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on assigned aviation support equipment.
• Support safety practices including foreign object damage (FOD) prevention and emergency readiness.
• Assist with emergency response and training drills related to aviation operations.
• Support administrative and maintenance control activities as required.
