Job summary

US Navy seeks Aviation Operations & Support enlisted personnel to assist with launch, recovery, and aircraft handling on ships and shore stations. You will operate aviation support equipment, perform inspections, and contribute to safety and maintenance tasks.

Pathways include-rated training and qualification programs, with opportunities to advance leadership through structured training while serving aboard ships or shore facilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required for enlisted roles.
• Bachelor’s degree or qualifying professional degree may be required for officer paths.
• Meet medical and physical fitness standards as per Navy policy.
• Eligibility to serve in the United States Navy and obtain necessary clearances.
• Pass required aptitude tests such as the ASVAB for enlisted entry or officer exams as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Support aircraft launch and recovery operations in operational environments.
• Assist with aircraft handling, movement, spotting, and securing on flight decks and lines.
• Operate aviation support equipment and related systems.
• Perform inspections and operational checks before and after equipment use.
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on assigned equipment.
• Support safety practices including FOD prevention and emergency readiness.
• Assist with emergency response and training drills related to aviation operations.
• Support administrative and maintenance control activities as required.
