Job summary

The Boeing Company is seeking a Software Engineer for Vehicle Management Systems to join the ESG Flight Software team in Seal Beach, CA. You will work closely with systems, flight software, and test teams to translate requirements into robust architectures and verification strategies.

Responsibilities include building simulations, developing automated pipelines, executing tests, and delivering concise reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher required.
• 1+ years of experience with C, C++, Python and/or shell scripts.
• 1+ years of experience working in UNIX or LINUX environments.
• Experience with DevOps tools such as GitLab CI/CD, Git Bash, Gradle, Maven, Jenkins, and Artifactory.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates cross-functionally to define and refine vehicle management software requirements and system-level design inputs.
• Develops and integrates vehicle management software and interfaces with external functions.
• Plans and executes verification and validation activities with test strategies and plans.
• Configures and manages test environments that replicate production conditions.
• Performs manual and automated testing; builds and maintains automated test frameworks and scripts.
• Supports investigation and resolution of software defects and provides actionable feedback.
• Maintains design artifacts, specifications, and test data with privacy and security in mind.
• Contributes to process improvements using modern tools and methods in software development and testing.
• Coordinates test and verification efforts across multifunctional teams and supports test delivery.
