Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking an undergraduate intern to work with experienced hardware engineers on flight control product design, verification and support.

You will learn analog and high-speed digital circuits, use oscilloscopes and logic analyzers, and contribute to troubleshooting and documentation while supporting production and new program efforts.

Qualifications

  • Must be pursuing Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related STEM major and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
  • Experience with analog and/or high-speed digital circuits.
  • Experience with standard test equipment including oscilloscopes and logic analyzers, together with experience in troubleshooting analog and digital circuitry.
  • Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

  • Work with exceptional, highly experienced hardware engineers in the design, verification and support of flight control products.
  • Participate in the creation and review of new product design and associated documentation for new programs.
  • Perform troubleshooting of electronic circuit boards, sub-assemblies and modules.

What You Will Do

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
