Job summary

Amazon in Redmond, WA is seeking a System Development Engineer for Flight Computer Software to help build and maintain software for a satellite constellation. You will participate in all phases of software development from requirements through implementation and test to operations, focusing on embedded flight software written in C/C++, Rust, and other languages in a real-time OS.

Qualifications

• Experience automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure.
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust.
• Experience with Linux/Unix
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes

Responsibilities

• Develop infrastructure for managing and maintaining flight computer operations for a constellation of satellites
• Develop embedded software in C, C++, Rust, or other languages in a real-time operating system environment
• Write system applications for flight code and flight management
• Work closely with embedded software and service teams to support integration testing, release, and continued operations
