Job summary

Amazon AIR seeks a Capacity Planner for Flight Scheduling to own development and optimization of flight capacity strategies across long, medium and short horizons. You will shape capacity allocation, schedule design, and forecasting while partnering with Operations, Finance & Analytics to deliver measurable improvements in cost and service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• 2+ years of supply chain experience.
• 2+ years of cross-functional work with tech and non-tech teams.
• 2+ years of defining and implementing process improvements using data and metrics.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookups) and SQL.
• Experience defining program requirements using data and metrics.

Responsibilities

• Lead flight schedule development across multiple time horizons for Amazon AIR, coordinating with ground transportation, fulfillment centers, and last mile operations.
• Present data-driven recommendations to senior leadership on network design changes, route adjustments, and capacity investments.
• Develop and optimize capacity plans and network strategy to improve customer experience and cost efficiency.
• Evaluate tradeoffs between customer needs and cost, building consensus with Finance, Operations, Process Engineering, and Procurement.
• Partner with Research Science and Technology to design next-gen planning and forecasting tools.
• Analyze flight utilization, block hour efficiency, and network performance for optimization opportunities.
• Monitor and manage flight capacity allocation ensuring alignment between demand forecasts and constraints.
• Navigate ambiguity while managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment; take ownership of processes.
