Job summary

Heartland Label Printers is seeking a Press Operator to run our Mark Andy flexographic press, producing high-quality label rolls that meet customer specs and production schedules.

The role covers setup, operation, monitoring, and maintenance to ensure consistent print quality and efficiency. You will manage inks, substrates, press parameters, and documentation while supporting safety and continuous improvement initiatives on the manufacturing floor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders, specifications, and production documentation.
• Experience with flexographic printing or Mark Andy presses preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate flexographic printing presses per work orders and requirements.
• Inspect printed products for color, registration, and quality per specs.
• Mix, test, and adjust inks and coatings; monitor ink viscosity and color.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot press issues; document downtime and usage.
• Support 5S, lean manufacturing, and safety initiatives on the shop floor.
