Job summary

Resource Label Group, LLC (RLG) is seeking a Flexo Press Operator for a Fri–Sun 5:00pm–5:30am shift in Cerritos, CA. You will set up and operate the printing press to produce labels and related products, with onsite training and opportunities for skill advancement.

The role requires reading job orders, loading dies, mixing inks, performing press adjustments, and maintaining press cleanliness. Physical stamina is needed to handle weights up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• One year to three years related experience preferred.
• Ability to read rulers and measurement devices.

Responsibilities

• Reads job order and loads dies into press, installs print cylinder on shaft and installs print cylinder in press.
• Fills ink pans, screens and pumps with prescribed inks.
• Starts press, adjusting speed and alignment of stock to the print cylinder as necessary.
• Engages print cylinders; adjusts printing impression as necessary, places print cylinders lead-to-lead and runs down approval strip.
• Cuts sample of approval strip from printed roll, inspects for imperfections and makes adjustments as needed.
• Cleans plates, print cylinders and dies; performs daily, weekly and monthly maintenance.
• Mixes inks to maintain desired colors and viscosity.
• Keeps work areas clean and organized; maintains housekeeping standards.
