$20-$25 Per Hour. Will pay for applicable experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set-up rails, adjust slot knives, set up print and die cut sections on Flexo in accordance with proper setup techniques.
  • Obtain needed supplies (load tags, sheet stock, bottom sheets etc.)
  • Setup and adjust machine settings to meet product specifications
  • Inspect anilox rolls for damage, before and after each run.
  • Inspect all dies before and after run to ensure that any necessary repairs are made before the next run.
  • Read and follow shop order instructions
  • Troubleshoot problems throughout production run
  • Monitor box quality, including, but not limited to loose liner, warp, correct size, and print.
  • Check set-up box/sheet in accordance with established procedures
  • Maximize the utilization of equipment by operating the machinery at available capacity and speed.
  • Adheres to production schedule. Reports any unusual scheduling issues to Supervisor
  • Enter data in computer and complete appropriate paperwork
  • Train and assist assistant and helper with job duties on the machine.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping.
  • Turn in maintenance work orders to supervision for needed repairs. Be proactive in the maintenance of equipment.
  • Additional duties as assigned by management

Preferred Experience, Skills, and Abilities:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Previous experience in a CORRUGATED manufacturing / production environment
  • Previous experience with cycle counting preferred
  • Proven ability to work SAFELY adhering to all safety processes and policies
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule on occasion to support operational and business needs
  • Ability to read and write English
  • Ability to work either individually or in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
  • Ability to read specs and use a tape measure
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to use and learn the computer system
  • For safety and operational efficiency, candidates must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. This includes understanding safety instructions, operating procedures, and workplace signage

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perceptions and the ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to ambient temperatures. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
