Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Flex Unarmed Patrol Driver in Reston, VA. The role offers 30-40 hours per week with a variable schedule based on manager shifts and the Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift program. You may be assigned irregular shifts with little notice to support client needs.

Pay rate is $18.25 per hour. This position requires a valid driver’s license, the ability to travel to assignments, and a background check with drug screening where permitted by law.

Qualifications

• Availability for varying shifts including holidays, nights, and weekends.
• Background check and drug screen required by Allied Universal policies.
• Must be able to travel to branch Flex assignments and meet licensing requirements where applicable.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Monitor entrances and exits and permit authorized access.
• Respond to alarms and emergencies; notify police or fire dept. as required.
• Investigate incidents and prepare reports; maintain written logs.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous, professional manner.
