Job summary

Primrose Retirement Communities is looking for a Transportation/Maintenance Assistant to ensure safe and timely transport of residents to activities, events, and medical appointments. The role also supports general maintenance tasks across the community.

Your duties include driving residents, following instructions, and assisting with maintenance needs while upholding a positive, professional demeanor with residents and coworkers.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License and excellent driving record.
• General knowledge of building maintenance and common tools is required.
• Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
• Motor coordination and depth perception is required for driving and using tools.
• Demonstrate good judgment, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
• Must be able and willing to work flexible hours.
• Maintains a positive and professional demeanor toward all residents, visitors, and co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, timely, and courteous transportation for residents to activities and medical appointments.
• Assist the Property Maintenance Technician with general building maintenance throughout the community.
